African Queen
This drawing is an homage to black and brown women across the globe. In my opinion, it is women of color who often carry the weight of the world on their backs and they are, more often than not, the healers of people and the world. I wanted to capture the beauty, strength and royalty of women of color, highlighted by parts of their culture through the head wrap and the jewellery. The frame is included with this drawing.
